Publishing Your Webpage

All of our wireless and dial-up customers are entitled to free webspace, with the address http://www.ffni.com/~[username]. Personal accounts are given 2MB of free space, while business accounts are given 5MB. If you would like to recieve more space and/or a domain name please refer to our Webhosting page.

Below is a brief description of the easiest way to publish your webpage to your free webspace:

In order to publish your webpage you must first find the items you wish to upload using Windows Explorer (i.e. clicking on "My Computer" and located the files).

Once you have found the files you will need to open Internet Explorer. In Internet Explorer type: "ftp://[username]:[password]@www.ffni.com" (Substituting the [username] and [password] for your actual username and password). This will bring up a few folders and perhaps a file or two. Click on the ".www" folder. Your webpage needs to be in the ".www" folder.

Now the fun part! Switch back over to Windows Explorer/My Computer and select your webpage files (and folders, if applicable). Now from the menu bar select "Edit > Copy". Now, switch back over to Internet Explorer and paste the files into the ".www" folder (Using "Edit > Paste").

A progress window should now pop up letting you know how the publishing process is going. Once this pop up window closes your site should be up and running!

Now check your internet address (http://www.ffni.com/~[username]) and make sure everything is running correctly. The character ~ is called the 'tilde' and is above the tab key on most keyboards.
