Fairnet, based out of Monticello, Indiana started out as a dial-up Internet provider in June of 1996. In September 1999, Fairnet started testing wireless within our own structure. We purchased several different types of hardware, tested each, and selected the very best to offer to our customers. In December 2000, Fairnet was purchased by the Carroll County REMC. The REMC has been the rural electric provider for parts of Carroll, White, Cass, Clinton, Howard and Tippecanoe counties since 1937. Together Fairnet and the REMC have built a team that will support your Internet needs with cutting edge technology for many years to come.
